Leo held a garage sale. He priced all the items at a dime or a quarter. His sales totaled less than $5.00. Write a linear inequality that describes the situation and then graph it.
I have 10x + 25y > 5
I think I am missing something. Thanks for any help you can give me.

you're doing fine, EXCEPT, when you ignore the dime and quarter decimals, the 5 needs to be 500

If you use CENTS, like 10 and 25 for the value of the coins, then you have to use CENTS for the total value. That would be 500, where you have used 5 dollars. Does that make CENTS to you???

Also, the total value is LESS THAN 500, not GREATER THAN as you have.

10x+25y<500
