Question 23034: A(bx+2)=cx-12
Answer by stanbon!(97) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Distribut "A" on the left side to get:
ABx + 2A = cx - 12
Get the "x's" on the left side and the other terms on the right side.
ABx-cx = -2A -12
Factor out the "x" on the left and the -2 on the right to get:
x(AB-c) = -2(A+6)
Divide to get:
x = [-2(A+6)]/(AB-c)
