I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Why don't you check out my Lesson Plan called "Basic Equation Solving" in the Equations topic of algebra.com.

Or perhaps you are solving two equations and two unknowns by the elimination (sometimes called the addition and subtraction method) where you eliminate one of the variables by adding or subtracting the equations in order to solve for the other variable. I'm not sure what you are asking for here.

Perhaps you could be more specific.
