Question 229373: I need to make an equation for this problem....
A passenger train's speed is 60 mi/h, and the freight train's speed is 40 mi/h. The passenger train travles the same distance in 1.5 h less time than the freight train. How long does each train take to make a trip

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
d=st d=dist, t=time, s=speed
since d is equal for both trains then st=st
Let t=the time it takes the freight train.
60(t-1.5)=40t The equation you need.
