Question 22913: ((7)/(x^2-4x-21))+((2)/(x^2-2x-35))
This is another example of one of the problems giving me trouble. The whole getting a common denominator is getting me mixed up. If somebody could help me out I would really appreciate it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
((7)/(x^2-4x-21))+((2)/(x^2-2x-35))
=((7)/(x^2-7x+3x-21))+((2)/(x^2-7x+5x-35))
=((7)/(x(x-7)+3(x-7))+((2)/(x(x-7)+5(x-7))
=((7)/(x-7)(x+3))+((2)/(x-7)(x+5))...LCM IS (X-7)(X+3)(X+5)
={1/(X-7)(X+5)(X+3)}{7(X+5)+2(X+3)}
={1/(X-7)(X+5)(X+3)}{7X+35+2X+6}
={1/(X-7)(X+5)(X+3)}{9X+41}
={(9X+41)/(X-7)(X+5)(X+3)}
