To find the original price, first you know that the percentage for discount is 12.5% out of 100%, so to find the discounted price of the original you would subtract 12.5 from 100 to get 87.5.
Now, this number we will use in this equation:
SP x 100%2F87.5 SP= sale price
(14,599) x (1.14286} Don't round up here, keep the numbers.
(14,599)(1.14286) = (16,684.61)
Now to check the answer if it's correct:
(16,684x.125=14599)
You might have a few cents after 14,599 but it's okay.
