How much more was earned in 2007 than in 2008?
the figures: 2007 = lost 3million
2008 = gain 3million
I want to answer zero, however, if the company lost 3 million compared to the gain of 3 million in 2008 would that be a -6 million difference?

difference = (figures in 2007) - (figures in 2008)
= -3 million - 3 million
= -6 million
