You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I need help solving the equation by rewriting without a fraction and finding x

x%2F5+-+4+=+-6

Step 1. Multiply by 5 to both sides of the equation to get rid of denominator.

5%2Ax%2F5-5%2A4=5%2A%28-6%29

x-20=-30

Step 2. Add 20 to both sides of the equation to get x

x-20%2B20=-30%2B20

x=-10

Step 3. Check solution with original equation x%2F5+-+4+=+-6

-10%2F5-4=-6

-2-4=-6

-6=-6 which is a true statement.

Step 4. ANSWER: The solution is x=-10

I hope the above steps were helpful.
