You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Quantity information:
You start with 2 lbs corn, add x lbs beans, and end up with (2+x)lbs.mixture.
Value of corn = 6(2)= 12 cents
Value of beans = 9x cents
Value of mixture = 7(2+x)=14+7x cents
Equation:
Value of corn + Value of beans = Value of Mixture
12 + 9x = 14+7x
2x = 2
x = 1 (lbs. of lima beans)
