Question 226092: Graph y=1/2x-3 by using the slope and y-intercept.
Answer by drj(1380) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Graph where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept when x=0 or at point (0,b). In this case, and or y-intercept at (0,-3)
Step 2. Starting with the y-intercept at (0,-3) or x=0 and y=-3, we move two units to the right and one unit up since the slope is 1/2. This means we have another point at (0+2,-3+1) or (2, -2).
Step 3. Use the two points (0,-3) and (2,-2) to plot the line.
I hope the above steps were helpful.
