You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8x%2B5=3x%2B35

Step 1. Subtract 3x from both sides of the equation to isolate numbers on one side and variables on the other side

8x%2B5-3x=3x%2B35-3x

5x%2B5=35

Step 2. Subtract 5 from both of the equation to isolate the x-terms.

5x%2B5-5=35-5

5x=30

Step 3. Divide by 5 to both side of the equation to get x

5x%2F5=30%2F5

x=6

Step 4. Check with original equation 8x%2B5=3x%2B35 for a true statement.

8%2A6%2B5=3%2A6%2B35

48%2B5=18%2B35

53=53 which is a true statement

Step 5. ANSWER: Solution is x=6.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
