Step 1. Convert 253 mph to feet/sec.

Step 2. 5280 feet = 1 mile

Step 3. 1 hour = 60 minutes = 60 minutes*60 seconds/minute = 3600 seconds

Step 4.

Note the units of miles and hours cancel they these units appear both in the numerator and denominator.

Step 5. ANSWER: Since 353%2A%28miles%2Fhour%29=371.1%2A%28feet%2Fsec%29, then in 1 second you travel 371.1 feet.
