please help me factor this out

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
GCF is x%5E3y
x%5E3y%28x%5E2y%5E2-9xy%2B20%29
Factor what's left in the parentheses:
x%5E3y%28xy-5%29%28xy-4%29
The End. Enjoy.

Okay, the answer to the next one:
3x%5E2+%2B+23x+%96+36
I used the ever so fun AC method. Take the A term (3) and the C term (36), multiply them together and find a factoring that adds to give you 23.
So, 3*36=108.
A factor of 108 is 27*4.
If we have a positive 27 and a negative 4, we can get to 23. (27-4=23).
So, we rewrite the middle term and our equation becomes:
3x%5E2%2B27x-4x-36
Then we factor by grouping:
3x%28x%2B9%29-4%28x%2B9%29
Pull out the common factor %28x%2B9%29 gives us:
%283x-4%29%28x%2B9%29
Hope that helps.
