You can put this solution on YOUR website!
rewrite the equation so that y is a function of x

y%2F5-7=-2x

Step 1. Add 7 to both sides of the equation

y%2F5-7%2B7=-2x%2B7

y%2F5=-2x%2B7

Step 2. Multiply by 5 to both sides of the equation to get rid of denominator.

5y%2F5=5%2A%28-2x%29%2B5%2A7

y=-10x%2B35

Step 3. ANSWER: y=-10x%2B35

I hope the above steps were helpful.
