Question 224695: Soybean meal is 6% protein, and cornmeal is 8% protein. How many pounds of each should be mixed together in order to get 320-lb mixture that is 14% protein?
I am having some difficulty solving this, if someone could help me I would appreciate it. Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! You can't make a 14% mix out of a 6% & a 8% product.
Proof:
A 100% mix of the highest product (8%) results in a 8% mix.
Any other mix of 8% & 6% will result in a lower % of resultant mix.
