You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the system by graphing the equations.
3y-3=0
x+2y=10
1. Graphing the two leads to the following picture:

graph%28600%2C600%2C+-20%2C+20%2C+-5%2C+10%2C+1%2C+-x%2F2%2B5%29

2. ANSWER: Based on the graph, the two lines intersect at point (-8, 3) or x=8 and y=1.

Check if the point (8,1) satisfies the equations:

3y-3=0 so at y=1 then 3*1-3=0 which is a true statement.

x+2y=10 so at x=8 and y=1 then 8+2*1=-8+2=10 which is a true statement.

So the intersection point (8,1) is a solution to the system of equations.

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
