Question 224291: If the area of a rectangular park is given by the polynomial, 2x^2+11x+5cm^2. Factor the polynomial to find the rectangle’s dimensions? Answer by jsmallt9(3758) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Area of a rectangle is length times width. So if the area is then all we need to do is figure out how this can be written as a multiplication. In other words all we need to do is factor this:
Either factor can be the length or width. The rectangle is (2x+1) cm by (x+5) cm. (x can be any number as long as the length and width remain positive.)
