Question 224287: I have the following problem to solve and I can not figure out the ratio. The example we are given is a 150 pound person excersing for 60 minutes burns 650 calories running in place and 275 calories swimming at 25yd per minute.
How many calories will a 115 pound person burn running in place and a 175 pound person burn swimming? (activities for 60 minutes )
I broke the ratio of 150:650 down to 3:13 but cannot get the 115:X to solve. If someone could tell me what I am doing wrong in the solving process I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
