You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=-2y Equation 1
x=2-4y Equation 2

Step 1. Substitute Equation 1 into Equation 2.

-2y=2-4y

Step 2. Add 4y to both sides of the equation

-2y%2B4y=2-4y%2B4y

2y=2

Step 3. Divide by 2 to both sides of the equation.

2y%2F2=2%2F2

y=1 and x=-2y=-2

Step 4. ANSWER: The solution is x=-2 and y=1 or point (-2,1)

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
