Question 223886: okay... :) I am in 8th grade and curently takeing Algebra 1. We are working on solveing Multi-step equations. I am doing good with it but there is just one question on my homework that is truely stumping me. the question is...
5=-9-p/4<<(what i have so far) 5=-9-p/4<< (origanal question)
+9 +9
14=-p/4

i am unsure what to do with the fraction in the problem... the inverse operation would be multiplacation but im not sure how i am supposed to solve this... (oh... i am trying to solve for P)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5=-9-p/4<<(what i have so far) 5=-9-p/4<< (origanal question)
+9 +9
14=-p/4
---------
Multiply by 4
56 = -p
p = -56
