You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3255+2.60x=13.75x
2.60x-13.75=-3255
-11.15x=-3255
x=-3255/-11.15
x=291.9 or 292 disks need to be sold to break even.

You decide to market your own custom computer software. You invest $3255 for computer hardware and spend $2.90 to buy and package each disk. If each program sells for $13.75, how many copies must you sell to break even.

Let the amount of programs or disks I need to sell be D

Then the amount I'd have to spend to buy and package D disks is: 2.9D

The proceeds from selling D disks = 13.75D

In order to break even, we have: 13.75D = 2.9D + 3,255

13.75D - 2.9D = 3,255

10.85D = 3,255

D = 3255%2F10.85 = 300

Therefore, in order to break even, I will have to sell D, or highlight_green%28300%29 disks, or programs.
