You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3(-4 -6y)+7(-y+5)=-8
12+18Y-7Y+35=-8
11Y=-8-12-35
11Y=-55
Y=-55/11
Y=-5 ans.
Proof:
-3(-4-6*-5)+7(-(-5)+5)=-8
-3(-4+30)+7(+5+5)=-8
-3*26+7*10=-8
-78+70=-8
-8=-8

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3(-4-6y)+7(-y+5)=-8
clear the () first
+12+18y-7y+35=-8
combine like terms
47+11y=-8
isolate x
47-47+11y=-8-47
11y=-55
divide by 11
y=-5
