You can put this solution on YOUR website! A train travels at the rate of 120km per hour. What is its speed in meters per second? What is its speed in meters per minute?
Step 1. 1000 m = 1 km
Step 2. 120 km/hour * 1000 m/km = 120,000 m/hour
Step 3. 60 minutes = 1 hour = 3600 sec
Step 4. 120,000 m /hour * 1 hour/3600 sec = 33.33 m /second
Step 5. 120,000 m/hour * 1hour/60 minutes = 2000 m /minute
Step 5. ANSWER: 120 km/hr = 33.33 meters /second = 2000 meters /minute
I hope the above steps were helpful.
