You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A baseball team won 30 games and lost 10. What percent of games that the team played did it loose?

Step 1. You get a decimal form as 10%2F30=1%2F3=0.3333

Step 2. To get a percentage multiply the result in Step 1 by 100.

0.33333%2A100=33.33%25

Step 3. ANSWER: The solution is 33.33%.

I hope the above steps were helpful.

I feel gutsy in pointing out that I think Dr. J made a mistake above.
The question asks for "percent of games that the team played did it lose?" If the team won 30 and lost 10, then it played 40 games.
Lost: 10
Played: 10+30 = 40
Lost/Played: 10/40 = 1/4 =.25
The team lost 25% of the games that it played.
