Step 2. Let n+2 be the sum of the number and two.

Step 3. Let 2n+3 be twice the same number plus three more.

Step 4. Then n+2=2n+3 since the sum of a number and two is three more than twice the same number.

Step 5. Solving equation in Step 4 yields the following steps.

n%2B2=2n%2B3

Subtract n+3 from both sides the equations

n%2B2-n-3=2n%2B3-n-3

-1=n

Check...n+2=2n+3 or -1+2=2*(-1)+3 is a true statement.
