You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x%2F3-1%2F2=5%2F6

Step 1. Multiply 6 to both sides of the equation to get rid of denominators.

6%2Ax%2F3-6%2A1%2F2=6%2A5%2F6

2x-3=5

Step 2. Add 3 from to both sides of the equation

2x-3%2B3=5%2B3

2x=8

Step 3. Divide by 2 to both sides of the equation

2x%2F2=8%2F2

x=4

Check with original equation...x%2F3-1%2F2=4%2F3-1%2F2=8%2F6-3%2F6=5%2F6... which is a true statement.

Step 4. ANSWER: x=4

I hope the above steps were helpful.
