You can put this solution on YOUR website! first put your equation in the fom y=mx+b,
y=3x+19
Since m=slope you know that your slope is the number in front of x.
slope = 3
Now to find the y intercept. Remember to find the y intercept, replace the x in your equation with zero. then solve for y...
y=3(0)+19
y=19
your y intercept point is (0,19)
you used zero for x so that x value is always zero when you are finding the y-intercept.
If you were asked to find the x-intercept it would be the same, only you would substitute 0 for y and solve for x. that way, your points would always be (x,0) because you used 0 as your y.
