You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Are you being asked to factor or to solve?
----------------------
45z^3 - 90z^2+ 40z
Factor:
= 5z(9z^2-18z+8)
---
= 5z(3z-2)(3z-4)
---
If you need to solve, set each factor equal to zero and solve to get:
z = 0, z = 2/3, z = 4/3
=================================
and
z^2 - 14z + 24
Factor:
= z^2-12z-2z+24
---
= z(z-12)-2(z-12)
---
= (z-12)(z-2)
---
If you need to solve, set each factor equal to zero and solve to get:
z = 12 or z = 2
