You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The Fahreheit and Celsius scales are related by the equation F=9/5C+32. What temperature Celsius would give the body temperature of 98.6?

Step 1. Solve for C in F=%289%2F5%29C%2B32

Subtract 32 from both sides of the equation

F-32=9C%2F5%2B32-32

F-32=9C%2F5

Step 2. Multiply by 5%2F9 to both sides of the equation to get C

5%2F9%2A%28F-32%29=5%2F9%2A9C%2F5

C=5%28F-32%29%2F9

Step 3. Substitute F=98.6 in the equation of Step 2.

C=5%2898.6-32%29%2F9

C=37 degrees Celcius

Step 4. ANSWER: 37 degrees Celcius is equivalent to 98.6 degrees Farenheit.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
