Solve the following system of equations using the substitution method
y=x+5 or -x+y=5
y=-9x+5 or 9x+y=5

Solved by pluggable solver: SOLVE linear system by SUBSTITUTION
Solve:
+system%28+%0D%0A++++-1%5Cx+%2B+1%5Cy+=+5%2C%0D%0A++++9%5Cx+%2B+1%5Cy+=+5+%29%0D%0A++We'll use substitution. After moving 1*y to the right, we get:
-1%2Ax+=+5+-+1%2Ay, or x+=+5%2F-1+-+1%2Ay%2F-1. Substitute that
into another equation:
9%2A%285%2F-1+-+1%2Ay%2F-1%29+%2B+1%5Cy+=+5 and simplify: So, we know that y=5. Since x+=+5%2F-1+-+1%2Ay%2F-1, x=0.

Answer: system%28+x=0%2C+y=5+%29.

I hope the above steps were helpful.

y=x%2B5
y=-9x%2B5
x%2B5=-9x%2B5
10x%2B5=%2B5
10x=0 divide both sides by 10
x=0
y=0%2B5=5
