You can put this solution on YOUR website!

(4+y)/5=y/z
Multiply both sides by 5z
((4+y)/5)(5z)=(y/z)(5z)
(4+y)z = 5y
4z+yz = 5y
4z = 5y-yz
4z = y(5-z)
(4z)/(5-z) = y

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(4+y)/5=y/z Solve for y. I don't know how to get rid of the fractions!

Step 1. Multiply 5z to both sides of the equation to get rid of fractions!

%284%2By%29%2F5=y%2Fz

5z%284%2By%29%2F5=5z%2Ay%2Fz

4z%2Byz=5y

Step 2. Subtract 5y+4z from both sides of the equation

4z%2Byz-5y-4z=5y-5y-4z

yz-5y=-4z

Step 3. Factor out 5y on the left side of the equation

y%28z-5%29=-4z

Step 4. Divide (z-5) to both sides of the equation

y%28z-5%29%2F%28z-5%29=-4z%2F%28z-5%29

y=-4z%2F%28z-5%29

Step 5. ANSWER: y=4z%2F%285-z%29

I hope the above steps were helpful.
