Question 22020: Please help solve for the variable a in terms of b and c.
eq1) if 6b+4c-a=d; then 4a+d=c
my ans) 6b+4c-a+4a+d=d
6b+4c-4a+d-4c=d-4c
6b-4a+d-d=d-4c-d
6b-4a-6b=-4c-6b
-4a=-4c-6b
-4a/-4=-4c-6b/-4
help?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Are you given these two equations?
6b+4c-a=d ; 4a+d=c

If this is the problem, then solve for d in the second equation:
4a+d= c
d=c-4a

Now
d= d
6b+4c-a = c -4a

Solve for a in terms of b and c.
Add +a and -c to both sides, in order to get all the a terms on the right side, and all b and c terms on the left side:

6b+4c -a + a - c = c- 4a +a - c
6b+3c= -3a

Divide both sides by -3:
%286b%29%2F%28-3%29+%2B+%283c%29%2F%28-3%29+=+%28-3a%29%2F%28-3%29+
-2b+-c+=+a
a=+-2b-c
