I haven't taught this for a LONG time (DECADES), but I think I remember it.

z1=10(cos80+isin80)
z2=5(cos100+isin100)
z1*z2 = 10*5 (cos180+i sin 180)= 50(-1) = -50

=2(cos 20 - i sin 20)=1.879 -0.684
