| Question 218263: 4x+y = 2
 12x+3y = 6
 Answer by drj(1380)
      (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4x+y = 2 Equation A 12x+3y = 6 Equation B

Note these equations have many solutions to these equations are not independent because when I multiply Equation A by 3 we have 12x+3y=6 which is identical to Equation B. So when we subtract these equations we have 0=0. Which means many point (x,y) satisfying the equations.
I hope the above steps were helpful.
