i got stuck after .06x + .08( 1800-x)=$1,290

can anyone help i know that answer is 7,500 with 6 % interest and 10,500 in the account paying 8% interest but why is the answer x=7,500

.06x+1440+.08x=1290
.02x=150
x=7500
6%=$7500
8%=$10,500
