Question 21693: Consider the chance of rolling two dice.
a) What is the probability that you get either two ones?
b) What is the probability that a perfect square would be shown on two dice?
c)What is the probability that a prime number is equal to the total number of points on the two dice.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Consider the chance of rolling two dice.
a) What is the probability that you get either two ones?
Comment: "either two ones" or WHAT?
b) What is the probability that a perfect square would be shown on two dice?
If you are summing the faces you could get
4: (1,3) (3,1)(2,2) = 3/36
9: (3,6)(6,3)(4,5),(5,4)=4/36
P(sum is perfect square)= 7/36
c)What is the probability that a prime number is equal to the total number of points on the two dice.
2: (1,1) = 1/36
3: (1,2)(2,1)=2/36
5: (1,4)(4,1)(2,3)(3,2)=4/36
7: (1,6)(6,1)(2,5)(5,2)(3,4)(4,3)=6/36
11: (5,6)(6,5)=2/36
P(prime sum)=15/36
-----------------
d)What is the probability that a ten would not appear on the two dice?
P(no ten)= 1-P(10)
=1-5/36=31/36
----------
