Step 1. Add 4 to both sides of the equation

3x-4%2B4=3%2B4

3x=7

Step 2. Divide 3 to both sides of the equation

3x%2F3=7%2F3

x=7%2F3=2.333=2.33

Step 3. ANSWER: x=2.33
