You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Is 7x-6(y+x)=4 a Linear Equation? If so, put it in standard form.

The above equation is linear.

Step 1. To put in standard form given as Ax+By=C where A, B, and C are constants.

Step 2. Multiply to get rid of parenthesis: 7x-6%28y%2Bx%29=4 or 7x-6y-6x=4

Step 3. Collect like terms 7x-6x=x: x-6y=4

Step 4. ANSWER The equation in standard form is x-6y=4 where A=1, B=-6 and C=4.

I hope the above steps were helpful.

7x-6(y+x)=4
7x-6y-6x=4
-6y+x=4
-6y=-x+4
y=-x/6+4/6
y=-x/6+2/3 ans.
