You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many liters of a 10% acid solution must be mixed with 5 liters of a 25% acid solution to give 15% solution?
-----------------------------------------
Equation:
acid + acid = acid
0.10x + 0.25*5 = 0.15(x+5)
Multiply thru by 100 to get:
10x + 24*5 = 15x + 15*5
5x = 9*5
x = 9 liters (amt. of 10% solution needed)
