Question 215314This question is from textbook Longman mathematics for IGCSE Book 1
: To make a scale model showing the distance of the four bodies from the Earth, a student marks the sun 1cm from the Earth.
Earth Sun
*____*____________________________
0 10^8 Distance from the earth (miles)
Sun has 10^8 approximate distance from Earth (miles), Saturn has 10^9, Andromeda galaxy (nearest major galaxy) has 10^19 and Quasar OQ172(one of the remotest objects known) has 10^22.
How far along the line should the other three celestial bodies be placed?
I know that this question had already been solved, but
the answer of Saturn should come 10, for Andromeda Galaxy 1 million and for Quasar OQ172 should be 1000 million.
Please solve my question. I just could not do it at all. It is really urgent. Thank you very very much.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! This is a repeat question.
10^8 is equivalent to 1 cm
Saturn: 10^9 => 10 cm
Andromeda: 10^(19) => 10^(11) cm
Quasar OQ172: 10^(22) => 10^(14) cm
