The area of an ellipse is simply A=pi%2Aab where 'A' is the area, 'a' is the length of the semi-major axis, and 'b' is the length of the semi-minor axis.


So in this case, just plug in a=10, b=6 and 3.142 for pi to get A=%283.142%29%2810%29%286%29=188.52


So the area is roughly 188.52 square centimeters.
