Step 1. Multiply 3x to both sides of equation to get rid of denominators.

4%2Fx%2B7=2%2F3x

3x%2A%284%2Fx%2B7%29=3x%2A2%2F3x

12%2B21x=2

Step 2. Subtract 12 from both sides to get x-terms on left side of equation and numbers on the right side.

12%2B21x-12=2-12

21x=-10

Step 3. Divide 21 to both sides of equation to get x.

21x%2F21=-10%2F21

x=-10%2F21

Step 4. ANSWER: x=-10%2F21
