Question 213719: if you could find the difference between any two 3-digit counting numbers, how many digits could be in the answer?
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you subtracted a 3 digit number from itself, you get 0 which is a 1 digit number. With different numbers, you could also get anything up to a 3 digit number. So, I would say you could get 0, 1, 2, or 3 digits in your answer.
