You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let angle be "x".
Complement = 90-x
--------------------
Equation:
x = 5(90-x)
x = 450 - 5x
6x = 450
x = 75 degrees

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
An angle is equal to 5 times its complement,determine its measure ?

Step 1. Complementary angles are those angles when they add up to 90 degrees.

Step 2. Let x be the angle and let 5x be its complement.

Step 3. Then

x%2B5x=90

6x=90

Divide by 6 to both sides of equation to get x

6x%2F6=90%2F6

x=15

Step 4. The angle is 15 degrees and its complement is 75 degrees.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
