One of two complemtentary angles added to one-half of the other yields 72degrees.
Find the half the measure of the larger.
:
the two angles: x and (90-x)
:
x + .5(90-x) = 72
x + 45 - .5x = 72
x - .5x = 72 - 45
.5x = 27
Multi both sides by 2
x = 54 degrees, has to be the larger
:
.5(54) = 27 degrees
