Question 212955: The question given to me was " find the measure of an angle whose supplement measures 2 degrees more than three times the measure of it's complement."
I understand what complimentary and supplementary angles are, but I am confused on how to complete this problem. Please don't just give me the answer, I need to be able to explain how to do these types of problems. Answer by Earlsdon(6294) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let the angle be A, then its supplement is 180-A and its complement is 90-A. Simplify and solve for A. Add 3A to both sides. Subtract 180 from both sides. Divide both sides by 2. degrees.
