Step 1. Multiply by 8 to both sides of equation to get rid of the fractions

8%283b%2F2-1%29=8%2A1%2F8

4%2A3b-8=1

12b-8=1

Step 2. Add 8 to both side of equation to isolate b on left side

12b-8%2B8=1%2B8

12b=9


Step 3. Divide by 12 to both sides to get b and simplify

b=9%2F12

b=3%2F4 ANSWER
