Question 212886: solve equation
4(y-7)-3y=11
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4(y-7)-3y=11
Step 1: Remove parentheses by Distributive Property!
4y -28 -3y = 11
Step 2: Combine like terms:
y - 28= 11
Step 3: Get all variable terms on one side, number terms on the other side. In this case, add +28 to each side:
y-28 +28 = 11 + 28
y=39
