I need help with this problem. I do not know where to begin.
what is the solution type in ordered pair if there is a solution or write no solution.

Solve

x%2B7y=4

x=9-7y

The following steps uses the substitution method:

Solved by pluggable solver: SOLVE linear system by SUBSTITUTION
Solve:
+system%28+%0D%0A++++1%5Cx+%2B+7%5Cy+=+4%2C%0D%0A++++1%5Cx+%2B+7%5Cy+=+9+%29%0D%0A++We'll use substitution. After moving 7*y to the right, we get:
1%2Ax+=+4+-+7%2Ay, or x+=+4%2F1+-+7%2Ay%2F1. Substitute that
into another equation:
1%2A%284%2F1+-+7%2Ay%2F1%29+%2B+7%5Cy+=+9 and simplify: So, we know that y=-5=0. Since x+=+4%2F1+-+7%2Ay%2F1, x=39.

Answer: system%28+x=39%2C+y=-5=0+%29.

I hope the above steps were helpful.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve
x+7y=4
x=9-7y
-----------------
Substitute for x and solve for "y":
0-7y + 7y = 4
0 = 4
------------------------
That contradiction occurred because we assumed
the variables in the two equations could have
the same value respectively.
Conclusion: the x in both equations and/or the
y-values do not coalese on one or more points.
Therefore, no solution.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+7y=4
x=9-7y --> x+7y=9
-------
x+7y cannot equal both 4 and 9
These 2 equations are inconsistent, and there is no solution.
If you graph them, you get 2 parallel lines. No intersection = no solution.
