log+%28%285%2Bx%29%2F%28x-5%29%29+=+log+3

If log+M+=+log+N, then M=+N

Therefore: %285%2Bx%29%2F%28x-5%29+=+3+

Multiply both sides by the LCD which is (x-5):
+5%2Bx+=+3%28x-5%29+
5%2Bx+=+3x+-15
-2x+=+-20
x=10
